Building the DIY THRONE
Nick build the composting toilet using free THRONE plans. Although he initially planned on using a more compact design, the capacity of the DIY Throne, especially for solids, changed his opinion. To improve accessibility, he added a front platform to the toilet.

The DIY THRONE is central to the camp’s sustainability efforts. Nick manages it by composting solids onsite for topsoil and diluting liquids in their grey water system. This is in-line with his commitment to offer environmentally responsible camping.
